How can technology support the learning and teaching of the skill?

With CAI (Computer Assisted Instruction)
- when computer is used as an aid to teaching method of instruction is called computer assisted instruction.
CAL (Computer Assisted Learning)
CAI-supported vocabulary learning is more effective than traditional vocabulary learning.
CAI-supported technology may better facilitate students’ learning of the meaning of a specific word than the spelling of the word.
The students will be more interested in the CAI environment than the traditional classroom environment.
B. Spelling
With The Spelling Bee Game – with various difficulty levels, students spell words correctly to move up the scale. It also offers a punctuation guide for words that students may find more difficult to spell.

- Provides more than six thousands word which are categorised according to their sounds. This apps is designed to increase the student’s awareness of phonics using interactive methods that teach them how to read, pronounce and identify word.
D. Phonemic Awareness and Fluency

-Specifically designed to develop phonemic awarenes – the ability to discern the sounds, and the sequence of sounds, within a word. However, its not only for phonemic awareness but also can develop fluency in reading.
Students develop the core foundational skills that make up phonemic awareness by identifying the type of change that occurred, including :
-identifying the sounds that changed ( ‘zat’ to ‘zad’ )
-substituting a new letter for the second that changed ( ‘field’ to ‘fald’ )
-switching two letters for sounds that were switched ( ‘blist’ to ‘blits’ )

This website has many resources of material for teacher to teaching English.
In this website provide some short stories that appropriate with our students level, we as a teacher can use this website as material in reading skill.
